Les Aigües Que Esculpeixen El Foc. Victoria Ioudina

Amid a beach, the images follow an introspective and sensory journey. In contact with seawater, the skin and the body reveal an inner fissure in the form of fragments of broken glass. The work draws on the phenomenon of sea glass, eroded by waves, sand, and salt until it loses its original shape. What was once sharp becomes smooth and rounded. The sea thus acts as a metamorphic force, transforming waste into a new material. The beach becomes a liminal space of transformation, healing, and rebirth, where body and nature share the same cycle.
