LLuerna 2026: A Rumor Beneath the Ground

Lluerna reaches its ninth edition as the Fundació Joan Miró’s programme dedicated to emerging artistic creation. Under the title A Rumor Beneath the Ground, this edition proposes observing the present from the subsoil: attending to sedimented memories, invisible infrastructures, gestures, affects and materials that sustain the surface.

The central format of the programme is Studies on Stage: an experimental device situated between the studio visit and the stage. Ten artists present their research processes live. Performance, sound, installation, performative reading. What usually remains hidden – tensions, intuitions, conflicts – takes shape before the audience.
