Love pixels not people

A project by the Panòptic Cultural
Association curated by Rita Rakosnik
within the framework of the Panòptic
Festival. With works by María Alcaide,
Marta Galindo and Andrea Herrera del Valle

Inverting a hashtag found by chance and
flirting with the idea of becoming, tenderly,
a blurred image, Love pixels not people
unfolds as a fragmentary essay on Eros in
the era of Big Data, which reflects on
digital representation strategies and love
relationships, and does so by exploring their
(hyper)links and contradictions, always from
a humorous perspective and never from a
melancholic recreation of times that we know
were not better either.

A look at the love triangle formed by you,
your lover and capitalism, mediated by a
black mirror that seems not to distinguish
between flesh and pixel.
