L’ull i l’esperit — Exhibition opening, performance and Open Studio
On Friday, 30 October at 7 pm, Casa R.A.R.O. presents the opening of L’ull i l’esperit (Eye and Mind), an exhibition by Albert Gironès exploring the relationships between perception, the body and imagination.
Drawing on a journey to Mount Emei in China, the project investigates the Brocken Spectre, also known as Buddha’s Light: an optical phenomenon in which one’s shadow appears magnified and surrounded by a coloured halo over the clouds. Through this research, Gironès explores the scientific and spiritual narratives surrounding the phenomenon and the limits of our experience of the visible.
The opening will feature què hauria de fer amb els meus ulls, a performance by teresa w, whose practice moves between experimental music, visual arts and performance.
The evening also coincides with our Open Studio, where this month’s resident artists will share their projects and creative processes.
