Cori Mercadé | Dance for an Uninhabited Veronica

Site-specific installation at the Dome of the «Cementiri dels Caputxins»
19, 20, 25, 26 and 27 December, from 11 am to 2 pm

Cori Mercadé (Barcelona, 1968) is this year’s invited artist to create the installation in the Dome of Mataró’s old cemetery, the Caputxins Cemetery, an emblematic space that has hosted the M|A|C Christmas commission since 2020.

Like a conceptual score, the choreographic and pictorial project conceived by Cori Mercadé, developed in collaboration with dancer and choreographer Magdalena Garzón, takes the form of a film created in the architectural and emblematic spaces that the artist has chosen in Mataró and Sant Pol de Mar.

This production is part of a joint project with the Sant Pol de Mar Painting Museum.
