Mujeres que cargan animales. Gema Polanco

In her first exhibition at ADN Galeria, Gema Polanco (Valencia, 1992) presents the characteristic elements of her multidisciplinary practice—installation, textiles, drawing, collage and photography—articulating, through personal experience and a reaffirmation of women’s central role in creative production, a plural vision that combines media, images and words as tools to question traditional notions of femininity and imagine new forms of empowerment.

Rooted in autobiography, the project opens up spaces for collective transformation from which to reflect on the body, desire, care and our own emotional honesty.
