Oralia. Rocío Quillahuaman
A short documentary by Rocío Quillahuaman
Oralia has been working as a cleaner and caregiver for over fifty years. Through her care, like many other domestic workers, she has been the backbone of the lives of many people and families, but is this how she sees herself? This piece centers on the domestic worker and her perspective on her caregiving.
Rocio Quillahuaman aims to create, based on her mother’s experience, a work that captures the labor of women who dedicate their lives to supporting the lives of others. A personal narrative that represents the collective care of migrant women who are always on the margins and are not represented in artistic spaces.
