Dialogue between Antón Lamazares and Jesús Martínez Clarà
Lamazares’ visual metaphors are rooted in poetry—in other words, in the word itself. Fascinated by language—he has even invented his own alphabet, which he calls the Dolphin Alphabet—he has collaborated on publications with numerous poets and writers. Jesús Martínez Clarà is an art critic and scholar captivated by the connections between visual arts and writing, among other disciplines. These connections, materialized through artist’s books and publications, will be the focus of the conversation they will hold as part of the public program accompanying the artist’s current exhibition at the gallery.
