Market and art are occasionally antagonistic concepts, but always interdependent. In galleries we have collectors, who are ‘sensitive buyers’. What in other contexts is an oxymoron, in the context of art is a pleonasm. There are pragmatic buyers who think about investing money or the colour palette of the room, and there are others who go much further, the ones we are interested in. Marcel Pérez Iserte will be led by the suggestions of the artist Alina Zaikina, who by surprise and live will propose the reading of poems selected by her that conceptually contain references to the diversity of pieces that make up Iserte’s collection, which also includes works by Zaikina. Those of us who will witness this exchange anticipate coming into direct contact with the intangibles of the art market.
