“What is this? A spa, a gym, a zoo for tiny animals? Exhibiting the collection of the Fundació Mies van der Rohe”
Inspired by the questions that philosopher Xavier Rubert de Ventós asked himself in front of the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion, this exhibition invites visitors to look at architecture through curiosity.
The exhibition offers a journey into the archive of the Fundació Mies van der Rohe through models, original drawings and traces of the ephemeral interventions carried out at the Pavilion.
Organised into six thematic areas —Latent Presences, Expressing the World, The Domestic, Material Imaginaries, Hosting Life and On the Margins—, the exhibition presents the archive as a living tool for discovering, interpreting and reflecting on contemporary architecture.
