Recent Works. David Moreno

With the exhibition Recent Works, Víctor Lope Arte Contemporáneo is pleased to present, for the first time, the work of Catalan sculptor David Moreno (Barcelona, 1978), one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary Spanish sculpture.

Originally trained as an architect, Moreno has developed a unique artistic language that merges architecture, drawing, and sculpture. Constructed from intricate networks of steel rods and metal wires, his works give rise to imaginary cities, suspended houses, and structures that appear to defy gravity. Existing somewhere between a sketch and a building, each sculpture becomes a poetic reflection on space, memory, and human relationships.

The transparency of his sculptures allows light and shadow to become active elements of the work, creating a constantly evolving visual experience. These impossible architectures evoke familiar places while simultaneously opening the door to dreamlike worlds that invite viewers to wander through them with their gaze.

With an established international career and exhibitions across Europe, the Americas, and Asia, David Moreno has become a leading figure in contemporary sculpture through his ability to transform drawing into space and structure into emotion.
