(Re)programant els arxius. A post-colonial look at MIFDB films

For three decades, the Mostra Internacional de Films de Dones de Barcelona (MIFDB) has been cataloguing and archiving all the films that are programmed and researched at each edition of the festival. As part of a proposal to reactivate the archive from a critical point of view, we invited the creator and researcher Aída Bueno to approach it from a post-colonial and critical perspective of race. In this session, she will present the results of her research into the emergence of post-colonial practices of festival programming throughout the MIFDB’s history.
