Sí pero no, Guillermo Mora

Guillermo Mora brings to the fore an element of painting that is usually hidden: the staple securing the canvas to the stretcher bar. The series originated in 2020 during a residency at CCA Andratx in Mallorca, for which the artist chose to travel with nothing but a stapler.
The works are created directly on the wall using A4 sheets of paper that are stapled in place and subsequently partially torn away according to a specific protocol. The traces left by this action become part of the piece itself. The project is presented as a kit containing materials and an instruction manual, allowing the work to be executed either by the artist or by another person. This approach questions the nature of authorship and expands the possibilities of painting through the use of everyday materials.
