The Curtain Rises. Elsa Casanova

The curtain rises and “an animal” appears – an indefinite singular form, as if everything from a worm to a bear were part of a homogeneous category that stood in stark contrast to “man”. Through what lenses do we frame, think about and relate to (or fail to relate to) that which is “natural” and “wild”? This project is an exploration of the ways in which we imagine animals.
