Galeria Marc Domènech
Galeria Marc Domènech’s main area of work is to promote twentieth-century art, organising exhibitions featuring works by the most significant national and international artists of this period, while exploring the most noteworthy artistic movements of the European avant-garde. In this regard, one of the gallery’s key objectives in recent years has been to introduce and recover international artists who have not been properly represented in our country or who had never before been exhibited in a commercial gallery, such as Léon Tutundjian, Gaston Chaissac, Otto Gutfreund, Jean Dubuffet, Georges Noël, Henri Michaux or Alberto Magnelli.
In addition to its focus on the historical avant-gardes, the gallery also directs its activity towards promoting and supporting two further areas of work: one centred on contemporary art with mid-career artists; and another dedicated to the rediscovery of artists who, despite their interesting artistic contributions, have not always received the recognition they deserved or remain largely unknown to the general public, such as Magda Bolumar, Luis Claramunt, Joaquim Llucià, Enric Planasdurà, Jaume Sans, Miquel Rué, Esther Boix, Pic Adrian and Ana Peters.
