The artists in this exhibition work with movement and instability, exploring the tension between matter and action.

Their works are situated on a threshold where the object ceases to be static and becomes a trace of its own mutation.
In friction, a dialogue unfolds between what changes and what remains. A movement between assemblages. The pieces rub against each other, move, reconfigure themselves. They never remain still and it is in the imbalance that they find meaning. The exhibition is conceived as a living environment, a space of encounter between matter, trace and time.

Marga Estelrich (Manacor, 2002) Currently lives in Barcelona where she is doing her undergraduate degree at the University of Barcelona. Her artistic practice is based on an interest in semiotics from an objective approach. The work tries to relate to the material landscape that makes up the urban environment, comparable to a deployment process, complementing and juxtaposing materials intervened by the experience. In her works she places special emphasis on a methodology that is often based on transit and transhumance, exploring the concept of terrain vague and the affections we establish with architectural structures and the elements of which they are made. She has recently had an honorable mention in the Art Jove IB program (2024), and has participated in collective exhibitions such as Damunt Davall, in the Totsol Club (2024) and Dins i més enllà del marc in the framework of the Art Palma Brunch (2025).

Alex Luz Palomares (Barcelona, 2001) grew up in Sant Just Desvern, in the Baix Llobregat. His artistic practice investigates the relationship between construction and deconstruction, understanding artworks as an assembly in constant transformation. Through repetition, superimposition and displacement of elements, he generates new spatial and symbolic relationships that blur the boundaries between genres. His work is not based on fixed structures, but is configured from the coexistence between its segments, where each piece alters and redefines the arrangement of the others, proposing open models. He explores the tension between the stable and the mutable, analysing how objects and forms adapt and transform according to their context. In 2024, he was part of the group exhibition És evident que una exposició és una exposició at the Estrany-de la Mota Art Advisors gallery.

Marc Salas Armengol (Sabadell, 2002) is currently completing his undergraduate degree in Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona. His research focuses on action and the processes that give life to images. He investigates contingency, the act of painting itself, the pictorial trace, and the notion of time and gesture. He is interested in what is most essential to painting, its morphology and its process, approaching it from materiality, as a practice that dialogues with space and the body. He has participated in collective exhibitions such as Òxid de Plom curated by Oriol Vilapuig within the framework of the Manifesta 15 biennial at the Galeria SIS (Sabadell, 2024) and has been a finalist in Mollet Art ’24 exhibiting at the Abelló Museum (Mollet del Vallès, 2024), and has recently received a grant from the Guasch Coranty Foundation.

At that threshold where is a curatorial proposal by Manuela Pereira Enríquez in collaboration with Homesession, the Grup d’Innovació Docent ‘Art, Professió i Docència’ of the Universitat de Barcelona and Sala d’Art Jove. The final year artists, Marga Estelrich, Alex Luz Palomares and Marc Salas Armengol are taking part in this exhibition.
