The music of the 90s in Girona With Gerard Quintana, Xavier Castillón, Lluís Bonaventura, and DJ Jordi Mitjà.
Music is the main protagonist of INFRALOCUS. No one better than journalist Xavi Castillón and musician and writer Gerard Quintana to explain the unique aspects of the nineties in Girona and beyond. We honor the figure of an authentic pioneer of electronic music, Lluís Bonaventura, with a brief and unclassifiable concert. Artist Jordi Mitjà will join him with a proposal born from his personal experience in venues like La Sala del Cel.
This is an activity of the exhibition “Infralocus: The 90s in Girona, a Decade of Twenty Years,” which delves into the artistic and cultural richness of the nineties in the city of Girona, where art and life, leisure and activism merged in a heterogeneous cultural landscape. The exhibition will take place in the three Bòlit spaces (Bòlit_PouRodó, Bòlit_LaRambla, and Bòlit_StNicolau) and in the exhibition hall of the Girona History Museum.
Presented by: Xavier Castillón and Gerard Quintana, Lluís Bonaventura and DJ Jordi Mitjà. Organized by: Bòlit Centre d’Art Contemporani and Girona History Museum. Sponsored by: Girona City Council, Diputació de Girona, and the Department of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya. The activity starts on Nou del Teatre street, in front of the Carta del Tarot, and then moves to the Girona History Museum exhibition hall (pcta. Institut Vell, 1), concluding with a music session at the Carbonera.
