Lúa Coderch - Point at a spot (outside the perimeter of the section of a tree to show that it comes from the future)

Lúa Coderch reflects on the gaze as an experience that transcends the visual dimension and tangible reality. She explores the idea of an inner gaze, in which intuition and imagination generate images that do not exist in the real world, and how we are able to interpret concepts from a visual and deeply intuitive perspective.

Through sculptures, actions and audiovisual works inspired by nature, art history and perceptual processes, the artist constructs a symbolic universe to explore the boundaries between memory, imagination and reality.

The exhibition journey begins outside the building with a piece conceived to be viewed only from the outside and continues inside the space, metaphorically understood as the interior of an eye: a cavity open to the outside world that produces images while the eyelid remains closed. In this context, the exhibition reflects on the exhaustion of contemporary vision and poses the need to imagine new forms of perception and representation.

They point to a spot (…) is the first exhibition dedicated to the winner of the ARCO Prize from the Fundació Vila Casas and inaugurates an exhibition space within the permanent collection tour of the Museu Can Framis; this space is born with the aim of keeping the dialogue between the works in the collection and the visual and conceptual research of contemporary artists alive.
