Concert | Fundación Goethe
The Mies van der Rohe Pavilion hosts a concert in collaboration with the Goethe-Institut dedicated to the German-Jewish composer Werner Richard Heymann, a central figure of 1920s Berlin who later received four Academy Award nominations in Hollywood after his exile in 1933.
Jazz singer Fernanda von Sachsen, one of Germany’s emerging voices and recipient of the 2025 Bavarian Award for the Advancement of the Arts and the Kurt Maas Jazz Award, performs alongside Marina Schlagintweit (piano), Maximilian Hirning (double bass) and Tilman Albrecht (drums). A contemporary reinterpretation of Heymann’s iconic songs in a unique architectural setting.
