Cosis - Anna Andrzhievskaia

In her new project Cosis, Anna Andrzhievskaia transforms the Tangent Projects to mimic its neighbour, Condis. The supermarket ruins strip away any sense of sanctity or the feel of a pristine «cabinet of curiosities,» turning the space instead into a liminal repository of mundane, unremarkable objects.

Anna Andrzhievskaia is a multidisciplinary visual artist based in Barcelona. She explores themes of migration and the female gaze.

Anna is interested how art can serve as a means of non-verbal communication and facilitate the search for cultural intersections. Her artistic language was formed out of exploration of performative and visual arts within public spaces and transformed into painting and sculpture as a main practice.
