Let's cook with sounds: a recipe for curious ears

PRELIMINARY ACTIVITIES WITH LA NOIA DEL MONYO

Thursday, June 18 and 25, and July 2, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.

Let’s take two spoonfuls of the movement of a swing, three grams of the bounce of a ball, and a pinch of an ant’s cry… How can we create a recipe using the sounds of the square? Open your ears wide because we invite you to collect noises, silences and hidden rhythms and mix them together as if they were ingredients for an impossible dish. Come and together we’ll transform everyday sounds into textures, flavours and melodies until we turn the square into a huge open-air kitchen!

La noia del monyo is an artistic collective formed by Ingrid Riera, Maria Soler and Clara Soler that, through an interdisciplinary approach focused on public space, understands and explores art as a tool for social transformation.

Throughout these three sessions leading up to the implementation of Tocar la ciutat: una simfonia urbana interactiva, the proposal selected within the framework of the Segona Residència 2026 call, La noia del monyo will facilitate a play space in the square to begin introducing the artistic project.

With the collaboration of Centre Cívic Sant Narcís, Menja’t Sant Narcís, Associació de Veïns i Veïnes de Sant Narcís, and AFA Escola Àgora. Segona Residència is a participatory artistic leisure project co-produced by Associació Cultural La Volta, Centre Cultural Les Bernardes and Bòlit, Centre d’Art Contemporani de Girona.
