Digital After All

An exhibition, a festival and a celebration of digitality.

The ocean is a living, unfathomable and vibrant archive. It contains remnants of the past, harbingers of the future and invisible mechanisms that maintain the balance of life on Earth. In Digital After All, a series of installations explore this vast aquatic universe from poetic, scientific and sensorial perspectives, in a journey that unfolds like a collective chant in the face of immensity, uncertainty and climatic urgency.

From 15 to 18 May, La Tabacalera de Tarragona, a space with more memory than wifi, becomes an exhibition ecosystem where water, light, sound and digital code are deployed as languages to rethink the world. Digital After All is an invitation to listen, perceive and inhabit the complexity of the present – and perhaps to intuit the contours of a possible future. We don’t pretend to solve the future, but to make us listen to it, see it and inhabit it with a little more sensitivity – and a little less stress.

During the weekend there will be guided tours of the installations led by the curator, Antònia Folguera, and musical vermouths at midday with DJ Wilk.o, in an atmosphere that invites shared celebration. On Saturday evening, the 17th, as part of Museum Day, the Barcelona trio TIEMEI will perform outside the Tabacalera with a proposal of calm and emotional electronica, accompanied by the live visuals of Desilence, projected onto one of the building’s large concrete silos. Access to the exhibition and activities is free of charge.

With installations by Joan Llort and Tarta Relena, Desilence and Suzanne Ciani, Josep Poblet, and Pablo Sánchez and Vanessa Balagué together with Alba G. Corral, Playmodes and Shook.
