Wednesday of sound and body / The white of the eye
The whites of the eye are what we see when someone looks away. It is the margins; rarely something we observe.
Following Alexander Arilla’s line of work, this session presents a process of research into the poetic and political potential of the everyday through audiovisual, textual and performative exploration.
The everyday, like the white of the eye, often represents that which we see but do not look at. It is a concept that we associate with the banal, the anodyne, the unimportant; but which, nevertheless, encompasses everything that surrounds us in our daily lives, constructs our reality and determines our experience of the world.
