This activation is part of Golfas, our new activation program of the Cordova bookstore.
tra(n)smanagua is a collaborative fanzine, printed in risograph, created by two Nicaraguan artists in diaspora. The project intervenes in the trans and queer archive of Managua—the capital of Nicaragua—with the aim of rereading, from diverse perspectives and tones, stories in which cisheteronormative structures give way to diverse realities and their own ways of living and community. Through visual art, print art, architecture, and various literary forms, it seeks to expand access to and collectivization of trans and queer memory, approaching it from a transdisciplinary, transgenerational, and transidentity perspective.
