Leaving the Shore. Allison Malinsky

Taché Art Gallery is pleased to present "Leaving the Shore", the new exhibition by
Barcelona-based American artist Allison Malinsky. For this, her first exhibition at the
gallery, the artist brings together a series of paintings made between 2021 and 2024.
Malinsky moves with the freedom that bordering spaces give him. His work escapes
classifications and flows fluidly between the vague borders of abstraction and
figuration. His work, with a vibrant and energetic language, is also characterized by
expanding and questioning the very limits of painting, sometimes dislocating the
pictorial support and taking it to complex three-dimensional structures.
The artist has exhibited internationally since 2001, and her recent exhibition Primavera
at the Dutch University Institute of Art History in Florence expands her broad interests,
media and creative capabilities, as this exhibition included a major landscape
intervention.
