Open Think Tank 2025. Case Study: CLUB9

OPEN THINK TANK
Open Think Tank is a particular annual cycle of symposia from which CLUB9 publicly and openly shares a professional debate regarding its own ongoing projects.
In many of the previous editions, the conferences have analyzed, as a specific case study NauEstruch, the platform’s production space, within the framework of a general reflection on the metropolitan ecosystem of visual arts and the context of contemporary performance practices.

In the different editions of Open Think Tank, since 2010 and curated by Oscar Abril Ascaso, curators, managers, researchers, critics or artists such as Pau Alsina, Judit Vidiella, José Luis de Vicente, Alexandra Laudo, Rubén Martínez, Marina Garcés, Oscar Cornago, Núria Gomez or Marc Vives have participated.

OPEN THINK TANK 2025
Between February and March of this year, CLUB9 and Planta Uno are organizing the OPEN THINK TANK 2025 symposium, from which they open a public and open reflection on the CLUB9 platform and its present and future projects, within the framework of a general analysis of the current metropolitan ecosystem of contemporary performance practices.

With this objective, CLUB9 and #plantauno invite artists, managers, researchers, or interested people in current performance practices, as well as those responsible for other platforms and spaces specialized in this particular field of contemporary visual arts, to participate in this debate framework.

OPEN THINK TANK 2025 will open the symposium on Thursday, February 27 at 6:00 pm with the public conference CLUB9, AROUND THE PERFORMANCE ARTS PERFORMATIVELY given by Oscar Abril Ascaso, which will be followed by a first open debate panel.

In March, OPEN THINK TANK will organize several internal work tables for specific work around its various ongoing CLUB9 projects, participated by professionals from the sector but to which CLUB9 and Planta Uno invite anyone interested in any of its specific thematic axes to join:

– Case study: ARTefACTe exhibition days,
ideas for organizing exhibition frames for contemporary performance art.

– Case study: PARACAIGUDISME representation office, ideas for deploying mobility processes for performance artists.
– Case study: NAU9 production project platform, ideas for designing production lines for emerging performative practices.
