Mural Painting"El Foll" With Pep Admetlla and Jordi Amagat.
An important aspect of the 90s in Girona was the cultural life in the city’s Barri Vell. One of the most important streets was Nou del Teatre, renamed ‘The Street of the Drunkards’, which Sopa de Cabra immortalized in one of their songs.
At the end of the 1980s, a one-and-a-half-meter painting depicting the tarot card arcana of “El Foll” from the Rider White deck closed off this street, which is home to the back of the Municipal Theater, the Modern, the Truffaut Cinema, etc.
The painting, created by Lluís Hereu and Joan Anton Palau (Palacios), became a symbol, a talisman for the people who gathered at “Freaks”, “Salsichas”, “Pot ser”, “Padules”, and even “Cau del llop”.
In this activity, artists Pep Admetlla and Jordi Amagat will repaint this mural, paying homage to its original creators.
Schedule: from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Activity included in the public program of the exhibition “Infralocus. The 90s in Girona, a decade of 20 years.”
