Presentation of the book ‘Polisemias para otros tiempos #1’, which, following on from the silence, explores the polysemy of other temporalities: a monograph that invites us to imagine and reflect on the multiple and diverse meanings of time. It includes creative proposals which, drawing on various disciplines and experiences, offer a critical perspective on the linear conception of historical time characteristic of modernity and challenge the capitalist notion of an alienating, exploitative, productivist and accelerated time, imposed as the only possible history and which inscribes the future into the present. A temporal linearity with which migratory experiences also clash: a fractured space between here and there, connecting the times of the territory of origin with those of the place where one lives. It is living in two times at once, as parallel times, as lives split between territories and territorialities or cycles of the seasons.
