Sara Manubens on Symphony of the Seas, a translation of what happens to us in life.

Symphony of the Seas, inspired by the name of a luxury cruise ship, is the alter ego of the transvestite performance that Sara Manubens brings to the stage, both in theatre and in everyday life, in a perpetual dialogue between the public and the intimate. This proposal is part of a broader investigation into the different aspects of transvestism applied to performance, in which wigs, high heels and parody are the common thread running through everything else.

In this Apropos, the third in a series of three, we have been talking with three creators from the Hacer historia(s)VI Festival organised by La Poderosa at the Mercat de les flors. On 2 November, Symphony of the Seas will be presented, in which Sara Manubens offers us an interpretation of the systemic violence that drag queens experience in public spaces and its relationship with privacy.
